Reflection

The Architectural Engineering senior thesis project was challenging. Throughout the course of the year, I was able to develop my time management and decision making skills. I also worked to improve my organization. The project allowed me to choose my own area of study and focus on what interested me while learning about a building from all aspects of engineering systems. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to implement my lighting design while working to incorporate the breadths to create an integrated system. Choosing a building envelope analysis for my master's study allowed me to expand my architectural engineering knowledge through a discipline other than lighting. I believe this has helped me become a well-rounded engineer and more understanding of other systems as I look to enter the workplace in the coming months.

The CPEP site was extremely useful throughout this year. The e-Studio site was helpful in organizing all of the necessary documents in one place. In addition, allowing us to post our reports, rather than fuss over printing allowed me to focus on the quality and content. It also helped me keep myself organized, as I frequently reviewed my timeline chart to stay on schedule.
